i'd post this in the 'kills section', but my car isn't crazy fast like most of them in there..

so, i'm on my way home from work about 30 minutes ago.. i'm driving at around 60 mph, and this truck gets on from the onramp.. it's just me and him on the road.. he stays behind me for about 1 mile or so, then gets in the left lane, so i figure he's gonna pass me.. nope.

he slows to 60, then i see him hop.. well, to make sure this guy is trying to race me, i hop.. sure enough.. so i gear down to 3rd, he stomps it, i stomp it. he stomped first and got about 1/2 his truck in front of me.. he wasn't pulling on me at first, and i had caught up to his front bumper. we were about even until about 5.5 grand in 3rd.. he starts to pull slowly, but i don't let up.. i hit 7k then threw it in 4th.. and gained it back and got in front.. it was a good feeling getting the v8.

Turns out we were getting off on the same ramp and he stops at the store i did and tells me: "This thing'll run won't it?!" I told him yea. He was very surprised that my little car kept up with his big chevy.. he works at a towing company and told me if i ever needed it towed to give him a call.

yea, i used to go there all the time. about an hour and half drive if your cruising.

 

u stockported, even at stockport u should have more power above 5.5k than when u shifted into 4th. nice kill thou

 

Yea, i'm stock port, with mech secondaries and free exhaust.

his gearing might've been better than mine around then or something.. my car only goes to about 110 mph anyway, not sure what's causing it.. would tire tread have anything to do with it? i got good tread, but i'm pretty sure they're winter tires "m/s"..
