Our options are:
1. FibreMaz(13Beef) FRP or CFRP flare from Oz....excellent quality.
2. Nissan/Datsun flares - Z type, made to fit.....can be a pain in the ***....
3. SelectMaz - several styles....$$ to ship, but if we get enough people to interest them in a group buy....
4. Finding someone to re-produce a decent widebody kit.
5. Get wheels that fit....which means producing professional proposals (something I can do, actually) to companies to start making wheels with our odd PCD's with decent offests. We need a Simmons or the like-type group buy on this side of the pond...with some ozzy help (oi,oi,oi!)

If you think about it, bringing some of these old SA/FB series cars into compliance (i.e. rebuilding, updating) can show the country that smaller, small displacement cars are the way to go in the city.

Like the Honda **** I've read...in Cali anyway, you can run a later model engine in an older car as a legal swap, as long as the emissions equipment is installed and working. So a stock 13B-REW in an SA/FB chassis should be perfectly legal as long as you use the stock ecu and all emissions *****. An Rx8 drivetrain would be 100% legal if all engine and related components are transferred over....

If my SP12A is getting me 20+mpg city, that is much better than many "new" cars...and I've got a carbie, more overtaking power, and quiet with the RB full ex....quieter than the G35's and Z's (hhhoooooooowwwwwwhhhh)...so sik of that sound.

....sorry for the ranting....

To answer the earlier question, the flares are mounted more towards the back because the "top" of the flares is actually in the middle of the six rivet locations. This is where the flare is at its widest, and how the flares would normally be mounted on a 240z.

As for more pics of the flares...

Hopefully we can get a group buy started or something. I'd love to get a set of the thinner ~2" flairs but getting them closer to wholesale price would pretty much seal the deal.

I contacted SelectMaz in OZ....they have the Alan Moffat style larger flares and a narrower universal flare....front air dams and everything...even an entire Moffat kit!

The woman's name is Melissa. She DID SHOW INTEREST IN A GROUP BUY!...basically to save on shipping and possibly a deal...this is good. The site is Selectmaz.com.au Enter and check the body kit section which shows killer stuff.

...most of the tack-on style are universal as they are plentiful in Japan....the N1 kit just wouldn't fit the shape of the car...

I have picked up some flares for re-production. They are a pocket style flare.

They need to be cleaned up and worked a bit to be ready to pull molds. We do not have an ETA nor a price yet but just wanted to through it out there.

Hey guys. For set of 4 of the thinner flares $385USD (will post options for shipping shortly) and will be around $40-60 extra for Group C/Moffat flares.
Will also go a bit cheaper if 5 sets or more are ordered

Where are you in OZ, I will be there in summer and maybe I can pick some up for those who want them, oh and for me....I should be able to cut the shipping cost down if I can get them through customs without too much tax, I think they'll be samples...

aussie- I'm in Adelaide.
I'd say customs would have no problems with f/glass bits (haven't had anything held up them previously)
