FB 12a starting problems

My FB was running, with very bad carb, it stopped due to fuel starving and the battery was very low so I changed it for a stronger one, managed to cross it and blew the fusable link, replaced that and one in the cabin which also blew, now it wont even turn over.

Ran a new earth wire, changed the starter, checked that it worked, nothing, I know I'm missing something here, help!

Steve

I had the same problem with my 85 gs and I replaced all three fuseble links and the thing started right up. Are you getting power to the cabin?

Problem found, the small wire to the starter broke about 15 inches up the line, fixed this and she's a goer again, thanks to all.
