Tough as that is it's nowhere near the fastest.

The fastest I remember off hand is the old Maz-fix Series 2 which ran 8.7sec. Pretty much the same running gear that they now have in the 7sec FD.

There are street-legal FB's in Puerto rico in the 8's. Although not necessarily driven daily.

I would like to change the question to street-legal, untubbed, daily-driven FB', - which would be the fastest?

In that case I believe it would be

1) T & R, Romeo's GSL-SE with the FD engine - ran like a 10.06
2) Juan, with the 12A Turbo, runs 10.17
3) AJC13B, runs 10.30's.

Again, not trailer queens - real street driven cars. I hope to be on that list one day soon.

Tubbing is a modication where the rear wheel-wells are cut and extended inward so you can fit bigger rubber.

as revhead said tubbed means they moddify the rear wheel arches and rear end of the car to fit in bigger and fatter tirers..
the cars are still streetable if this is done but with drag raccing the cars are put into the different groups for fairness
the tubbed car will be able to run with masive fat tires for altimate traction on take off while the car that isnt tubbeds can only run with tires that can fit under the stock guards.

could one not, in theory, have one's extra wide tire protruding ridiculously out the side of the car?
