f the compressor

get the steering coulumn loose and its just sitting/hanging there. The problem is that I can't remove the column without removing the a/c compressor, of course yall knew that and said it. My dumb *** read the haynes manual and they didn't say peep about the compressor, soI went ahead and did the column. NOw I am stuck. Is it possible to remove the brackets and give me enough room without discharging it? or will I just bite the bullet and do it.
Like I said haynes doen't even mention an a/c, like it doesn't exist, so how do I go about that. Am I gonna need some special tools? Or can I just getto it out?
Thanx fellas

you should be able to take off the ac from the mounting bracket and just pull it up and tie it up out of the way. if you need to take off the mounting bracket for clearance, you can get to it easy enough with the compressor out of there. don't discharge it, keep all the lines intact, just unbolt the compressor from the bracket.
