Extended Short Throw shifter?
I have noticed an extended short throw shifter and a few of the first gen rally cars and such. does anyone have some information about these? i did a search and could not come up with anything.

What do you mean by "extended" short throw shifter? You mean a short throw shifter with a longer grab shaft? If that's the case, short throw shifters aren't that short and you can reach them just fine.
If this isn't what you're talking about, keep in mind that a lot of rally racing companies will custom make their own stuff, or refabricate existing items, for their cars.

well thats kind of what i was wondering about. i would love to see a picture of one /w the parts that if it is fabricated i could get an idea of how. from what i can figure the fulcrum point of the main ball is raised quite a bit to have such a short throw and that high of a point. i would guess about an inch of raise from the original points. i pretty sure i could fabricate this with the right tools its just a matter of getting an idea of what i would need to do. the whole idea of just rotating my wrist to shift really does appeal to me.
