Exhaust systems?

I am looking into picking up a 1st Gen RX7 1980 to be exact in the year. I was wondering what you guys all did for exhaust systems.

what he said...

just an FYI rotarys run hot. so the cheap mufflers most civics get wont last long. the fiberglass melts... dont get one of them it will not last. get one designed for a rotary.

I perfer racing beat.

If you don't care about noise, then get the racing beat stuff back to the rear axel, then get a straight through stainless muffler and have a good shop install it for you. It will be quite a bit louder than the racing beat full system, but it will also flow better. I know it's a ricer site, but www.meganracing.com sells very good quality universal mufflers. They easily stand up to the rotary's heat, and have a removable silencer. With the racing beat header and mid section, with the silencer in, it might be quiet enough for the street.

Sounds good, this is more actually for my "daily driver" car, so I am looking for something quiet, and functionable, and would be able to pass smog with. I am going to be picking up a 1st Gen 7 and a 3rd Gen 7. I just haven't been able to find anything for the 1st gen at all. Thank you Coldy13 for the links.
