Exhaust System
Exhaust System
I know this is another exhaust thread, but my question is different than others.
I have been reading mostly all of the recent exhaust threads and i still don't understand the difference in the Street Port system.
I drive an 85 GSL-SE and i am looking at racingbeats site with 2 complete exhaust options. Exhaust System 1984-85 GSL-SE and Street Port Exhaust System 1979-85 GSL-SE. Now how much of a difference is one Power-Pulse Presilencer vs just the one. I believe its the sound, but i want to hear what people think of the difference, and if it's worth the extra 170$?????

The Streetport is the road race version of RB's exhaust systems are two presilencers, and also called the uncollected exhaust. So you get a Road race header, 2 presilencers, and 2 pipe to the muffler. The sound is pretty nice, and quiet.

It collects into one pipe later in the exhaust stream to maximize power in the right spot in the power band with a street port engine. Lots of people just run the street port exhaust on non-ported engines though, and now that I think about it, I wish I had bought the street port system too, just because I could port my engine and not have to buy new exhaust all over again
.
Oh yeah, and from what I hear, it sounds cooler
