exhaust setup?
i have placed a 1100$ order through VB and racing beat though i really was planning on buying the entire exhaust for my 84 gs i didnt have enough money to buy springs oil lines struts sway bar bushings and braided ss lins so i opted for just the header knowing that i will need to make i connection into my stock setup. i currently am running. no emissions well except for rats nest stuff will do once i get the info. so no a/c no air pump, no cats and have an e-fan, and K&N also the intake mod removed the flapper and coil inside that is it. i also have purchased a gsl rear end with everything basically just 5 yrs old according to reciepts, rotors, calipers and pads are all still good shape 180$ not bad i thought. my ? is what would be the cheapest way to mount my header to my existing stock exhaust. im thinking drop off mid section install header remount mid section see how much i need to cut then cut it and weld on flange to mount to end of header. not sure since i dont know how long header is but just a thought. any suggestions would be cool. sorry such a long post but thought it might be important to know my mods.
What year is your car? You got the idea there. Just drop the mid section, mount your header and then put the mid section into place to see where you have to cut it. I don't know if you will even have to cut anything at all actually. When I did the exhaust on my 82, it looked like the header would just bolt to the stock mid pipe (don't yet have a header). So I don't know if you even need to do any cutting.
