Exhaust question...
I know the rotary engine puts off really hot exhaust gases and thus it isn't wise to use "universal" exhaust systems. (could melt them?)
So if I were building a custom exhaust what would I want to use?
I read about 304, 308, 409 stainless steal... does this matter when designing a rotary exhaust?
Just doing research not planning on building anything soon.

I had mine done at a local exhaust shop. Not sure what kind of steel they used, but I know it is thinwall and crush bent 2.5. Not the best way to go, but no one could bend my 1/8th inch think RB pipe. The exhaust shop pipe has lasted me over a year with no rust on it. I have burned through a muffler already, but the pipe is fine.

I'd love to have racing beat BUT
My concern is I want to eventually do a Turbo II swap and I'm worried that their Turbo II exhaust won't correlate with a FB chassis.
And their FB systems are designed for NA engines?
Or am I wrong? I hope I am.

You can do a racing beat system for pretty much any body with any motor. That's the beauty of individual, bolt on components. You may need to recruit the help of an exhaust shop for some of the minor fitment, but it's totally do-able.

Yes they do put out extreme exhaust temps and the heat does and will damage any internals on cheap exhuast systems and mufflers
So if I were building a custom exhaust what would I want to use?

304 SS exhaust will be more then enough if you plan on going turbo run an exhaust system with a 3inch diameter...Run the least amount bends, turns and loop D loops...Go under the axle with a custom system...

TO clarify some info in here.
Obviously a TII exhaust system from RB will not fit in an FB because the TII's had dual exhaust. I believe some people with turbo 2 engines use some racing beat components from an FB system (like a muffler...)
