Question Exhaust Overheat light? What the heck does that mean?

When Im racing, or just driving a little harder than normal my "Overheat exh system" light pops up, and then turns off after a bit. What does this mean? Does it mean that Rosie needs a RB exhaust system?

Heh, you need an excuse to get a racing beat enhaust? I would say either the sensor is going out, that your car is running hot from being lean, or have some kind of back pressure issue (clogged cat). But honestly i have no true idea. Considering it comes on and goes off, i don't think its anything to worry about.

it means the exhaust is overheating. this could be a result of the cat overheating. they'll do that if you add fuel additives and certain 2 cycle oil to your fuel. i have never had that happen in my 85 GS and i drive it hard sometimes. i guess do not park over leaves or dry grass. the connector for it is in the floor board under the drivers seat.
