Could anyone provide some angles for the 'over axle' portion of the RB exhaust? Looking at making my own and want to buy the correct angled pipes. I'm guessing around 55 degrees?
ok, to be fair I only measured Angle A, D should be similar but I can try to get the other angles later today. If I can reach the other angles.. the car is fairly low to the ground.
Wouldn't those angles be actually greater than 90 deg, like maybe 120 or something?
@t_g_farrell I got stuck on that at first. The degrees are measured from the flat plane up to what has been bent, the degrees the piece has been bent. IF you were to go the other way it would be a 135 degree bend, and a piece of straight pipe would be a 180

@yeti Thanks for the assist! I guess the top should be the same.
I am curious if anyone has done a dump down muffler before the rear axle. As much as I love the full racing beat exhaust - it is very expensive. I have a local seller wanting to sell me some headers that go from 2 to 1 pipe. I was thinking of having a muffler shop weld a resonator and straight through muffler that has the tailpipe dumping down like a spout before the rear axle.

ii don't think i've ever seen that on a rotary car. if you did it in such a way that you could add the rear part easily, you might try it.
the competition system went under the axle, so its pretty straight, if you have the car low and with a stiffer suspension it can work on a street car. the thing with that is if you have the exhaust high enough to clear stuff you'd find on the street, the axle doesn't have much droop travel.
I have stopped a race exhaust before the axle before and it was horrible. The floor of the car was like an amplifing speaker. Admittedly the muffler was not very muffling, but I suspect the droning with even a beefier muffler would be very draining.

I have the setup on my 2007 v8 Silverado crew cab truck. It goes from shorty headers, stock y pioe cats, to a Borla ProXS muffler and sounds really good. However, the truck is also a few feet from the floor so the ground rumble it makes is pleasing in this case. At the same time, the muffler is distant from the driver and passengers with it being a bigger and longer crew cab. Now that you put it that way, I agree that with the car being low...and lower in my case with the coilvers I have. I can totally picture and hear the drone in my head as our cars are so small and have modest factory sound deadning/ insulation material.
