Exhaust heat.

I am having real problems keeing my headers painted. They are so hot even 1500 degree paint bleaches to white. Is there a solution?

The high heat is what decreases the life of rotary exhaust systems, that is why stainless steel is the way to go, But why the gases so hot compared with the exhaust of a piston engne? Is there any relationship to the air/fuel ratio?

Paul you can have them coated with a ceramic heat coat. It will lower your underhood temp and look nice>
