Question Exhaust/Clutch Hydraulic questions

I have an 84 gslse with no exhaust from the cats back, and a clutch master that (according to some of the posts here) has gone south. Can you offer some links or suggestions on the following:
- some in this group have suggested new exhaust from the manifold back is a good option; others suggest extension and new muffler. Is there a concensus? Also, I will need to pass Ontario emmissions. Not sure how they compare to other provinces/states though.
- Regarding the clutch hydraulics, I agree that when a master goes, the slave is soon to follow. How have you made out with rebuild kits, as compared to new cylinders? Anything else to watch out for?
Thanks,

When the clutch master goes, buy a rebuilt master,,not a rebuild kit,
may not need to replace the slave cyl.but it's a good idea though,,
DOT 4 or better fluid, and make sure every air bubble is out of the system,,about an hour job,,straight forward,no pitfalls

I would not rebuild unless I was dead broke. The rebiulds do not last. Do em both at the same time.

Just my $.02
