Well, My exhaust went last night, but its weird. Its damn loud but as long as you dont mash the pedal it sounds reasonable. The weird part is that if you really step on it around 3500-4000 rpm the sound changes from just overly loud to sounding like it has a crazy shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh noise. The only thing that I can think of that sounds like it is a plastic shovel being pushed across concrete...it doesnt sound too terrible but I hadnt noticed it before the exhaust went and I thought it sounded a little odd. At first I was convinced it was just air rushing out from wherever the pipe cracked, or split or whatever, but that doesnt make sense to me since it only happens during WOT, other than that the car seems fine, runs the same, maybe smokes a teeny bit more, but I was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen or can tell me why this crazy sound is happening? any help would be great. Im not worried I just want to know if this is fatal, or if my car is dying from low compression or something but since it runs fine I doubt that.

 

I don't know what exactly causes the sound, but my friends -se made that sound because its rear muffler was a pos and way too restrictive.

 

If its a 12a u could be hearing your secondaries opening up.... they sound sweet i think

 

It sure is a 12a, its just unusual because once I back off the throttle it stops and only happens during WOT or near it...So its nothing to worry about, just get a new exhaust and itll be fine? or could there be a problem?

 

it almost sounds like a blow gun from a compressor at a medium pressure but it increases with the revs......I wish I could describe the sound better but I dont know how
