Exhaust

Ok guys i have a 85 GSL that looks like it was just drove off the showroom floor. It has 53,000 miles and a older couple owned it till about a year ago. They took it to a muffler shop and got a cheap non rotary exhaust system put on it. There is no cats nothing stock. The car is all stock and i what to keep it that way i like keeping it looking like it was new. What kind of exhaust should i put on it? I dont want it to be loud, i was it to be stock like, with out playing out the nose for stock.

You won't get it. RB is the quietest exhaust you can get, but thats about $700 right there. Unless you can get a stock exhaust from someone, your going to pay through the nose for a good, quiet exhaust. There is just no way around it. Rotaries are loud, and making a quiet exhaust has always been one of the tougher things to do, unless you go Racing Beat. Hell, its almost harder than rebuilding the engine!

700? I think they are around 500-600, right? I think I got mine for like 595 or somethin like that, brand new from RB. Too long ago, can't remember...
