Get rid of the wife... I did
well it is in nice condition but...
you may not be able to notice the 160 k right now but let me drive it for one week just daily driving and it will show bad,
they always seem great at first with high miles but it never lasts long,
i havent seen an rx7 yet with 175,000 that could keep up with my rx7 with 75,000
with work done to it or not.

yeah, the pictures look Good!! You can tell you took care of it. Still, 160,000 miles will hurt. A lot of miles no matter how you slice it. You will proably have to cut your asking price in half unless you can show major repairs/renovations (ie: new engine, shocks/struts) , otherwise, one would buy it and have to sink more money into it sooner ,rather than later....just food for thought....cjf

Hay, I have an 85 SE with less than 70K original miles, garage kept and maticulasly cared for. As great as the car is, the reality is that it ain't gonna bring the $$$ you are asking. Unless it is HIGHLY MODIFIED with all kinds of goodies (brakes exhaust, wheels, tires, potred etc..) Of course, then you wouldn't be selling your TRACK CAR!
Good luck getting a decent price! If you come down to the real world, notify me. I would be interested in turning the car into a track car, but 4.5K is way off the mark for such a car.
Enjoy Hotlanta!! It is a great town!! Oh, and congratulations on you upcoming marraige!

cjf,
You have just hit upon the reason that I'm keeping the car indefinitely: the value of the car to me is more than its value in the marketplace. There is no way I could bring myself to let the car go for that price even though that is all it is really worth. I would much rather drive it into the ground and trash it.

I agree with pmartin.. the cars are so damn good that it doesn't make sense to sell it at blue-book prices, even if that's the market value. And I always laugh when I read comments about GSL-SEs needing to be "highly modified" to bring top dollar.. those comments are always good for a smile and a chuckle..
