nice pic, 2 bad its 3 years old...have u test drove it yet?, and isnt it a GSL-SE, not GXL? but still, if u want it badly, test drive it and see how it is.
still 1500 for a 84 is kinda high(for me, since iu bought my "new" 83 for just 200), but if its worth it, go for it.

That's definitely an SE, as you can tell instantly by the Mazda factory wheel design. That car is fuel injected, and 135hp in stock trim. What you describe in the first post seem to indicate pretty routine conditions for a car that is now 20 years old.
With a little TLC, a FSM, and a MazdaTrix order, you could have a really nice car that performs very well. Many SE's out there pull in much higher dollars than the $1500 that the guy is asking, but it all depends on quality and condition.
If he has taken care of the car, it should last much longer than 156k miles, as mine is at 171k and still going very strong. The SE's have very reliable engines, and as long as you don't mind tuning the idle from time to time, it is easy to manage and maintain.
If you don't buy it, be sure to post back on where it is available, as I'm sure an enthusiast here will snap it up as a project car.
