Question Engine Wiring Harness...

As best I could find, this issue is not covered in any old posts. If I'm mistaken, please help me find the adequate post from which this information may be gleaned.

I pulled the 12A from my '79 SA, and am currently working on getting it back in. The wiring diagram, however, doesn't seem to be matching up properly. I found a particular connector that is not listed in the USA Model diagram, but is listed in the California Model diagram.

My question is: Does the USA Model use the same wiring harness as the California Model? If so, how can I verify that this engine is not the California model after all?

The one that I've found that's definitely CA only is listed as "Connector to Transmission Harness." Don't recall seeing a cross-connect from the transmission, but I wouldn't be surprised if this car is mix and match, to be honest.
