# in sequence of the motor, dont think it means anything else.... I wished you could tell, I bought the thing from Atkins thats suppose to tell you what the casting #'s , letters are for but it dont really tell you ****... If you search the forum you'll find it, I posted a pic of it. It costed me $20, enjoy

Each vehicle has a VIN (vehicle identification number), then major drivetrain components have an identification number. As I understand it, these chassis component numbers should all match on a factory-fresh car.
When I got Pamela appraised she earned high marks in part because all drivetrain numbers matched, meaning I had the original engine, tranny, etc from the factory, a highly desirable trait for a concourse classis

or jm1fb332xf0905116 got engine #21896. go to a dealer and have em print a warranty report, it might have the #'s on it, it may not. short of contacting mazda japan i dunno where else you would find em
