Question Engine Temp???

How hot do our engine Get????
Were going to paint my dads 13b and dont know what type of paint to buy. Mates have had complaints that when they bought 900c It would sometimes flake off. Only problem is 1500c comes only in matt colours that we can find. Want to do it a bright red to match the car.

My RX-3's engine didnt last long since I did a shittyyyy clean up in housings. then I blamed it on the paint I've used.

With my FB's engine, I started a thread (either in this site or mazspeed) for opinion on the paint and flaking. here are the result:

be sure to clean it, clean it and clean it (plenty of brake cleaner on the rotor housings)
Prime
paint

Be sure to allow the paint to completely dry before spraying another coat (at least 30 minutes, dependign on the temperature). I think I used 1 can of primer and 2 cans of blue 500 * ford blue paint.

since u've asked for a red one. here's my bro's 12-A big street port.
