Question Engine skip\sputter II

I did another thread and its long gone. But i have more info now so.....

If i give my car a lot of gas, after i get tp about 5000rpms, it like skips and misses(kindof just running real ruff). But if i just slowly do it, i can take it up to high rpms fine.

My car skips and sputters sometimes. Usually at 3k and sometimes near 6k. It never is consistant. Sometimes the car feels slower sometimes it runs great. My car is an se. I will figure my problem out sometime.

Need more information about your cars to help you out;

Year, model, miles, mods, symptoms, what you've done to it, when it started, what you think it might be.

I gather that one of you may have an SE, so post back and we'll see what we can help you out with,

ok, I have an 84 gs 12a. 128,000miles. Mods in sig. I may have always done it. this is the first time ive really been able to take it out and really ride. I dont know what it could be.

Its like a hesitaion, but not when your first push the gas.

the carb is crap, old, and needs a rebuild. I have a sterling carb on the way so i dont want to do anything to this carb.
