if indeed you have a flooded car, pull all of the spark plugs out of the car. Pull the fuse for the fuel pump. turn the car over for about 30 sec or until the gas quits shooting out of the spark plug holes. Replace the spark plugs and reinstall the fuse and see if that did the job.

Good luck

low compression can cause the engine to floood. And when it gets really cold our cars have less compression than in the warmer weather.

i assume you have a gsl-se . They have been known to flood a lot, especially when you only run them a few minutes (say to move them) and shut 'em off without reaching 'normal' operating temps. it's only happened a few times to me, but i've always got it going the 'quick' way.

1. remove the blue wire from the trailing coil
2. with the gas pedal pushed FULLY TO THE FLOOR, crank the engine.
3. it could start right away, and then sputter out.
4. put the wire back on the coil and start the car as normal (don't touch the gas pedal this time)

I've got it going every time that way. IF it is REALLY REALLY flooded you have to do it the long way removing plugs, etc. here is a link that describes the proceedure pretty good...

http://www.rx7.com/tech/unflood-se.html

the link used to take you right to the article but i think it only goes to the home page now so once there click on "TECH INFO", then "13B Common starting problems"

hope that helps.
