"Engine" , it feels as if its got random lag...

Well its a 12a with a regular nikki carb GSL. Whenever I hold it at a certain rpm ex.3000rpm it has random pulses. Its like using a dremmel tool and randomly slowing it down by putting it against somthing.

The engine feels like its working 10x harder during those lags. Like I am flooring it in 5th gear or something. It only last a 0.5 of a second but it happens alot. Every 4 seconds really.

I dont know if its just my carb, its not the fuel pump because its new and the fuel filters are new.

Any ideas?

im stumped.....

The car sat that long and you didn't do anything with the carb? You got pretty lucky having it run as well as you say it does.
