engine differences, assistance please

hi,

I am selling my 84' 13B motor (60K on reman) and I have a 2nd gen owner interested.

from what I gather, they would like to switch my block for their tired one. it is my understanding that the 2nd gen 13B blocks are mounted from the center housing, while the 84-85' 13B is mounted from the front housing using a brace.

can someone confirm this for me please. I don't want to sell him something that won't fit his car.

thanks
Leigh

It's my understanding that yes, your SE 13B mounts from the front cover. Theirs will mount from the center housing. They'd have to rebuild yours with their center housing/front cover to mount it. Sort of the reverse of what we look to do with the FC engines

Only the 2nd gen intermediate plate will work in the 2nd gen cars. The water seals are in different places.
