Engine died while driving...

Hey guys, I just got my car towed back. Not sure what happened but the engine just died while I was driving down the street. Luckily it happened in a good spot. The engine cranks, feels like it wants to start, but it doesnt. Don't think it's flooded, cuz it died while I was driving so I dunno. My friend thinks it might be the fuel filter.

A little history on the car:

This has never happened before, but I noticed when it's been raining (in CA), small electrical problems occur, radio gets wacky, dash lights also flicker. There is some idling issues every now and then, but I just thought it needed a tune up.

Anyway just wanted to see what you guys think, thanks.

Make sure its getting gas. Make sure its got spark (at least on the leading). If those are okay, then start looking into your battery cables, fusible links, etc...
