ok, was getting on the freeway the other day and the engine just died I was maybe half throttle and then the car starts sputtering and dies. Won't start now. I am getting spark and there seems to be fuel. The pump is pumping and the carb jets are wet. Sounds like its not even trying to start, the starter just spins. What do you guys think?
starter pinion gear isn't engaging the fly wheel (but you say you have spark)
or (unlikey) you lost all compression....try removing the sparkplugs and try starting. If it is the unlikely case, you won't hear the swooshes
let us know how things turn out!!

I think you guys might be right. I am just hoping it might be something else. Anyway if it is blown I will rebuild the motor and be putting this money pit up for sale. Thinking V8 american GTO, Vette, or maybe BMW M3. Love the 7 and the rotary but its in the shop more than I am able to drive it.
Belts are turning. Getting more depressed now. I am going to pull the plugs and listen for the swooshing sounds of the apex seals. Looks like I will be in the market for a new toy.

Didn't rob just finish this car or has it been awhile since it left the shop? confused sucks this was a nice piece of machinery! If the belts are turning then you must have lost both rotors i would guess. You can see the msd is getting signal from the flashing light. I have never seen that happen just one usually this sucks ***! How much boost where you pumping into that thing as well!

Perhaps it is flooding and thats why it quit running and now you have no compresion?
Remove spark plugs and see if they are wet.
Squirt some oil into the plug holes and see if you restore the compression.

Very cool vid on youtube, car looks fast and stable, appears to of been put together very well. I hope it's nothing too serious, that 7 is very nice.

It is just me or does it look like there is a spark near the battery terminal when cranking? It looks like it's by the negative terminal. The engine is spinning over way to fast as if it has no compression.
OK, its blown. We already knew that right, but how bad. Well all six seals gone, so you can only imagine the state of the housings and rotors. Here are the pics.

Seems the number reason the motor blew was fuel starvation and second my methanol injector nozzle clogged. I had half a tank of gas according to my stock gas gauge. So either my gauge is wrong or my fuel is not getting to the pick up. Before the motor blew I was getting on the freeway with one of those on ramps that has you do almost a full circle. When I came out of the circle and the road was straight I gave the car half throttle and she blew.
I am pretty sure I am going to rebuild her and make her stronger and faster, but I need to get this fuel starvation thing fixed.
Is anybody running a sump/ surge tank setup?
Any other turbo 1gens with high horsepower had any of these issues?
Oh, and the turbos fugged up too.

god god i can say that is the first time i have ever heard of all 6 going. Did you drain your tank to see how much gas is in it yet? Surge tank is sounding like a good idea at this point for me as well.
For blowing all 6 seals the housings and rotors don't look too bad (in the pics) I was expecting total carnage, That would be great if you can salvage them. Good luck with the rebuild, you have a great car there..................Jay
