first drain your fuel tank, and the fuel lines including the filter and Carb. Fill with fresh gas (and premix at 100:1 for the first tank) after that you don't need to premix. change all other fluids ( oil etc) pull the leading spark plugs and prime the rotors with about 6 cc's of engine oil (use a syringe) disconnect your coils, and the fuse for the fuel pump. crank the engine until you get an oil pressure reading. Hook up the coils, adn the fuel pump fuse. attempt a normal start. proceed from there.

it will smoke like crazy for a few minutes while the oil you primed it with burns out, and the first tank will smoke a little from the added premix (plus it will foul the plugs a little more than normal) but this will protect the engine on its initial startup as your omp lines are probably dry, so there will be no oil in them for the first couple of minutes. and there is proably no oil on the rotor walls from sitting so long.

this is the best way to avoid damage.

If you can turn the engine over by hand that's a good sign. I had my 83 stored for a couple years and a transmission bearing went bad. Use good lube in the trans and diff: I use Redline, now, in all cars.

When I picked up my REPU I squirted a little Marvel Mystery Oil in each plug hole first, turned it over by hand, then started it, and all was well.
