emissions removal simplification.

So while I'm trying to figure out why I'm down on power I was thinking of some changes.

Is there any reason this would not work, as opposed to the T fitting from the oil filler base?

What other simplifications could I do?
Thanks

You've missed the point. That purge valves purpose is to allow moisture from the oil pan to be sucked into the intake air and burned. If it is not sucked out it will allow moisture to build up both in the filler neck, rusting it, and in the oil. You can however use a standard PCV valve like the one used on a 1990 Dodge 3.0L caravan. Run a hose from the filler neck to the PCV to the carb vent.

Yeah, that's a recipe for lung-butter; you have to vent the crankcase somehow.

I've had success with a Fram FV266. The nipples are a good size.

found 2 threads: https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/crankcase-vent-connections-questions-no-rats-732238/

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...&highlight=PCV

that lead me to this diagram:

but now leaves me with this: Red hose is to the top of the stock valve, the green hose is to the bottom of the stock valve.
Question now is when using the new PCV part # fv333 what hose goes where? only one can connect to the new PCV.

What goes where?
thanks

Well here is what I have done now. Hopefully it is routed correctly. Also discovered that the Vac cap came off of the really big nipple under and behind the manifold. Any one know of a GOOD way to permanently cap it? I think I'll just go through Vac caps like crazy there, its large, right over the exhaust, and almost impossible to see. Also the tacky dirty disgusting K&N IS going away in favor of the Racing Beat intake setup (hopefully tomorrow if my UPS tracking is correct).
