Embracing my inner ricer
that's not ricer
A ricer wouldn't know how to wire that up, or it wouldn't be that clean of an install
good job, i was thinking of doing something like that, except use a toggle switch for the starter instead.

Looks good, I was expecting a big read S2000 push button in one of the vents or something. Or even better, toggle switches next to your radio for fuel, spark, and start, and you would have to flip them in order, like in fighter jet movies.
Nooo, not in my "cockpit", but I'm thinking of installing one of these plus toggle switches in my engine bay so I can crank it over while I'm outside playing with stuff inside.
Toggle for battery, fuel pump, and then start button.
Because the reason why this button was so cheap is because its a weatherproof one for an engine bay, not a flashy ricer one.

get some servos, make it towhere when you hit the buttonfrom the key remote, it turns to the right, and it creates a connection.
its cool, and simple.

it takes a bit of work, for the antenna and stuff. its worth it in the end.

Basically all I did is find the two wires. One's always on and the other sends the signal to the starter.
To find them use a multimeter to find one 12v wire and the one that's a 6v wire when cranking. Which is the switched ignition source and the S wire. I think, at least that's what I told my buddy and he was the one randomly looking for wires. He's an electrician apprentice friend of mine and he called me up wanting to go to Denny's and we did this in the dark afterwards.
I have to pull everything off again to see which is which. I was doing it in darkness with a friend of mine and while I was dremeling the plastic piece and fitting it he was setting up the wires.
Took less than five minutes with the two of us working

So, Whats the point? I never understood installing a push button start on a street car. I have never had trouble putting a key in and turning. But props for a clean install, and something that functions.

That was my point, if it has a little extra useage then why not? Let's say I'm in the middle of driving and stall I can just quickly push the button and I'm good to go. That's why they originally placed them to the left of the steering wheel on the Porsche LeMans Cars.
So you either removed the choke, or it wasnt there when you bought it. Nice, although good luck starting it in the winter... unless you have 2GCDFIS, which pretty much eliminates cold start problems. At least it did for me, I removed the choke cable from the throttle linkage. But I wanted to keep the original look on the interior, so I left the Choke **** there. But you dont even really notice your little push start, I kinda like it...
I removed the choke, my sterling carb doesn't have one on there. 2GCDFISwill be installed very shortly. I'm using Cendi's writeup for it since I'm a cheap bastard and I have three 2nd gen coils sitting here unused.
