emblem in between taillights?

emblem in between taillights?

Anyone tryed making an enblem or something to that effect for the middle tail light section??

I was thinking of making one out of aluminum stock.

do you have a closer picture? I was thinking of doing it with aluminum just cus i know how to work with it. Now I need to find a place that carries it.

ohhh k i was thinking of a peice that was more in the way of atleast 12" x 24" x 1/2" you think a place like home depot will such a thing? Theres a scrap yard down the way they might have something but everything is wet and i'm not sure if I will be able to find it.

If you can work al, then an 1/8th piece is more than heavy enough. 1/2" is a waste of money. An even thinner piece will be easier to roll the edges on and not have stress cracks.

I guess what I am trying to do would look like the rotory inside emblem thats on the '79's. Just a bit wider, The reason I want it thick is because of the letters, I want to make them so that they attach to others like our emblems do. Having a thick peice of metal to work with first also give you a good base to practise on incase you score or scratch it the wrong way.

I am going to work on a design. i'll repost with a design thats got everything measured out.
