Electronics questions

What is the big electronic box below the carpeting under the passenger's feet? What does it do? I dont like the looks of it, lol


And does anybody have a list of the bare minimum wiring the entire car needs to have to start, run, and drive? I'd like to remove as much of the useless wiring as possible.

ever look ontop of your engine, or one before it has been stripped, you would see a whole row ov little vacuum valves w/ a harness ataching them, it all hooks together for emissions monitoring, the only computerized part of the car other then the stereo on the 12As
