Electrical Problem? need some tips
I'm having a issue with my 1985 gsl-se. Before yesterday it was running well and didnt have any problems to be concerned about. So heres the story...
I got this job in downtown los angeles and commute with my 7 to work. There were no problems, everything was fine. So i find parking after like 10 minutes of searching, head to work and when i get my break i decide to get a parking permitt inside the arking structure the employes use. So i hurry and get the permitt, drive the car in the structure and find parking on the 3rd floor, and because i was in a hurry to head back to work i left the electic cooling fan for the engine on (i guess my 7 has an aftermarket fan that you turn on with a switch on the dashboard). This was at 9:35AM, i get back to my car after work at 3:00PM, and noticed that i left the fan on but the light nor the fan was turning anymore... and thats when i felt like the biggest retard in the world and sighed.... then knew i killed the battery. I try the lights but nothing, then try starting the car to double check and yup, it was dead.
So i get hold of some jumper cables and ask someone in a parking sturcture if they can give me a jump start. after a couple of minutes the cars headlights started turning on fairly bright. But the engine fan wasnt turning on with the hand switch and the headlights werent retracting anymore. So i call my roadside assistance and they try... but nothing, and tried another battery and nothing... it was getting pretty late and i had school so i head home with a friend and come back afterwards to try and figure something out...
so now i know its not the battery, the battery cables are a little dusty but nothing too be concerned about and i check the fuse box and found a few burnt chips with two 15amps, one 20 amps. Could leaving the engine fan on burn out some of the fuse box chips? i guess im kind of lost in the situation.
any of you know what i can try? or what it can not be. the dashboard lights dont turn on either, only the headlights... hmm..

yes, the engine will not attempt to turn over, nor will any other lights in the dash or engine fan turn on same with the power windows. only the headlights.
well i picked up a fuse kit, ill go replace them as needed. is it a fuse problem?
