Unhappy Electrical Issues are Driving Me Crazy

Hello all, I'm a fairly new member running an '84 GS manual with about 112K on it. I'm trying to get it up to spec, but am having some serious wiring problems. The following things are not working currently:
- Gauge Lights
- Clock (Clock light works)
- Radio amplifiers
- Center dash lights
After looking up the FSM, it appears that these things all run off of a community set of lines. However, after crawling up under and looking, I can't find any obvious loose connections or anything. What could be causing this electrical issue? The only other out-of-place thing is a blown Hazards fuse. When I replace the fuse, the buzzer in the gauge cluster comes on and won't go off, so I have left the Hazards fuse out for now. Any help is appreciated.

The best thing to do is work backwards until you find voltage or start at the fuse that supplies voltage for that circuit and work toward the bulb until no voltage is found.

I just had a similar problem with my gauge lights not working, check behind the radio, there is 2 wires with bullet connectors, a black wire, and a red with blue tracer, if they are plugged into each other, it will cause the dimmer switch to short out and cause the gauge lights and numerous other lights to not work, I fried 3 switches before I figured it out, look in the first gen classified section and click on the first dimmer switch wanted thread, and there will be a link to a thread about this

Make sure they are not connected to each other
