I am going to rewire my horn. It seems that its more than just the relay thats gone bad. I don't have time to mess around and keep searching. I am sure if I wanted to I could just get another harness.

I went to radio shack and bought a 30A relay.
Technical Date:
Coil Voltage: 12V
Pull-inVoltage: 6v
Coil Resistance: 66 ohms
Nominal Current: 160mA
Drop-Out Voltage: 3.6V
SPST Contacts: 30A at 12VDC


There are 4 contacts on the relay they are labled as follows top (86) on/off switch ; middle right ; (87) 12V IN ; bottom (86) ground ; and finally middle left (30/51) 12V out

This is what I am going to do:
battery to 87.
on/off switch to horn button on steering wheel.. then to a ground
30/51 12Vout to the horn lead in the engine bay. and lastly (86) ground to chassis ground.

Any thoughts as to why this wouldn't work?
