Re: Electric fans

I am using the DERALE 16" Puller Electric fan on my 82 GSL 12A.. Works great love it... I have the oil cooler under the radiator so the 16" fan does go down into the oil cooler and pulls air from there too...

you can see it at my site: http://www.rotaryrx7.com and go to my rx7 link

Jeep Derale Tornado DER16516 1 145.95
Electric Fans: 16"
Tornado (L = 16.69" H =
15.75" Depth - 3.9")

Jeep Derale Adjustable DER16759 1 49.95
Fan Controller

I also bought the universal aluminum mount but in reality you don't need it, since the fan has to be mounted with the copper mounting studs provided. They're the type you put throught the radiator core. Works fine and are very heavy duty.. If I would have know I would have save 50.00 bucks on the mount...

I had to cut a very small part on the bottom of the stock shroud to make it fit. So, yes I am using the original shroud in confunciton withthe shroud that comes with the fan.... looks great and gives you top protection from the fan, not to say that the shroud that comes with it doesn't, it does, but I liked to use the stock shroud to give it the stock look..
