Ok, everyone in this thread is saying to swap to an electric fan. Mine is starting to over heat in traffic. My guess is the fan clutch is starting to go. I have a new thermostat (only $7) that I'm going to put in but assuming that doesn't fix it, ....
What fan should I get?

The thread abouve mentions Taurus/Sable and one guy mentions a Fiero G/T fan. I'm hesitate to put anything Ford related into my car. I have an unfounded hatred of all things Ford but it is what it is.
All that aside, I still would like the models and years to steal from.

I work at an advance and I checked for an electric fan and they have one coming up in they're system. It's universal, I'll post tonight when I come back from work exactly how it works and how much it costs.

I'm running my own forum at www.southern-shift.com using php and you can edit your responses any time you like. No half hour crap. I think the average user can delete their own thread too.
Thanx for the update on the fan. Any idea the cost? Napa wants $239 for the OEM fan clutch. Like that's going to happen!!

Check your oil level, too. I cured an overheating problem due to low oil...
I also installed an electric fan out of a Probe - but promptly removed it. I ran into electrical and cooling problems and decided it wasn't worth it. Guys here swear by them, and the engine ran very smooth with it - so I may give it another go at some point...
I guess I figure if those Mazda engineers can get a rotory engine to run so well - building a cooling fan is peanuts... If you're sure it's the fan clutch, you can probably find one in the yard for cheap...
