ECU? Constantly clicking next to clutch pedal assembly

The box i believe is the ECU right next to the clutch mount had been clicking for some years now erratically. As if a turn signal is on but not constant till now..... I can feel the clicking is coming from that box...... ideas? And everything works but the horn at times is finicky....... but still works. Thanks members!

It's usually referred to as the CPU. Yeah it's on the left side of the steering column tucked up behind the fuse box. There's a few posts with people re-soldering to fix blinker/flasher/horn problems. Mine started rapidly clicking whenever I tried to use a turn signal and would intermittently work when I jiggled the connector. I replaced it entirely but it's not too bad to remove and probably worth taking a look at the solder joints first.

thanks! And I've been soldering for a living for 13+ years so I'm all good with that!

Update.... it's fixed and was the connections in the 4 way flashers/headlight up switch on my s3 (84-85) interior. It was gooped up and must have been arcing. I simply cleaned the contacts (don't use 0000 steel wool) duh.... and dialectic greased it and no more crazy clicking. I checked the board that the relay sits in and touched up joints but it wasn't the cause.... hope this helps any future searches for this problem. 👍
