Econ removal

So i am like king of breaking bezels. Before i go to town on my center bezel anyone know the steps to removing it in one piece. Checked the fsm didnt say anything. Gotta put a wideband and boost gauge in. Thanks guys!

I think you have to start by taking stuff off at the shifter and work you way up. Maybe some screws under the shifter plate. It's been a while since I did it.

dont forget the screws in the ashtray. remove the ashtray to gain access to them.

A lot of the materials used back then where very brittle and lacked UV endurance. It's not just you. I broke something off the rats nest last night and had to JB weld it lol.

yup for future reference pop the ashtray two screw pop shifter bezel. take of *****. remove lock nut. remove bezzel. Worked slick fisrt one i have never broke lol.
