Early 90's B2200 headlight/signal switch

Haven't seen this posted so I figured I would share my experience...

The '92 Mazda B2200 turn signal, headlight, wiper, etc switch is nearly identical to the 84-85 RX-7 unit. The only difference I found was one less pin on the B2200 light switch (presumably because the truck didn't have pop-up lights.) It's easy enough to swap that box out with the RX-7 unit.

I found this out when I broke a small plastic bridge that sits next to the turn signal cancel cam. I didn't want to drop $250+ on a new unit over a tiny piece of plastic. So I hit the parts yard and happened upon the truck. I rebuilt my unit with parts from both. Now my turn signal works again and feels about 7 years newer.

This applies to '84-85. Not sure about 81-83'. I know the SA unit is completely different. Also not sure what other year trucks these came on, but probably a lot if they were still using them in '92.

THANK YOU>

I have been trying to get my FB to the point where i feel like driving it once in a while...and Im almost there, but on the last test drive my turn signals went nuts, and that whole stalk is flopping in the breeze now, with my blinkers randomly coming on and off. (It already would not cancel, but i could live with that ya know.)

I was gonna make some ranting post about it, but then I saw this one.

I actually found an FB in the junk yard a while back, but the damn thing disappeared before I could get what I wanted off of it....now Im going on a hunt for little Mazda trucks!
