The dumbest question ever, battery related.

So, I just replaced the alternator, and I can't remember what cable is for positive, negative!

Which one is which?! (I'm extremely tired and ain't functioning right.)

Help is greatly appreciated.

You mean the battery cables? They're different sizes (the battery terminals), pretty hard to screw it up.

one's an aftermarket terminal, installed before I got it. The cables appear to be original, though.

The positive terminal should, in addition to the main cable, have a second smaller short wire that goes to the fusible link box on the strut tower.

The negative will go to the body of the car and the positive will go to the starter and the fusible links ect.
