Dual Exhaust for 81 gsl 12A

I'm thinking about putting dual exhaust on my 81 gsl w/ the 12a wondering if anyone has done this and if so did it cause any backpressure problems or any other problems that i maybe did not think about...

Thnx,
Nefarius

I know everyone has their own tastes...but I don't think dual exhaust is worth it. Just buy a stainless steel high flow muffler.

What does the Racing Beat dual exhaust look like?

My car has dual exhaust.....sort of.

Its 1 pipe to the muffler at the rear axle. The Muffler has 2 outlets. One outlet goes straight out through the passenger side rear skirt outlet, and the other outlet runs a section of piping along the inside of the rear skirt, and out of the driver's side rear skirt outlet.

i have seen a "true" dual(1 on each side of the car) exh on 1 fb. it was a black 1 that had fd wheels on it. from fl. someplace. it was 4 sale a long time ago and i was asking the seller all kinda questions... this wasa true dual exh ... split at the long prime header and 1 pipe on each side of the car... the real pain is the fuel tank is on the drivers side of the car and is in the way... they installed a fuel cell and that solved that. i would have like to have seen under car pics and a sound clip. on a trashey red neck kinda note a friend of mine had a 85 12a with a set of side pipes on it. it went from a header with tubes all of 1 foot long with a "balancing tube" to even out the flow i guess. to a set of old school vette side pipes... they ran the entire area between the wheels. they hung low(up tight on the car, just low on the ground) and hit EVERYTHING... and loud isnt even a close guess at how annoying and loud these things were. i learned DONT drive next to the wall on the highway... or you go def. i plan to do a dual n1 setup from a fd on my t2 swap... ill do downpipe, cat., y pipe to the duals that will go over the axel and out the 60 mm tips. i really like a fb's rearend with a set of dual tips hanging out... i think i might have to motovate the stock muffler hole a little
