drum brakes
drum brakes
my 84 12a has drum brakes on the rear. i dont know what the sub model of the car is (g, gs, gsle). i need to know this before i can continue any work on my car with my mechanic.
WHy do you need to know the model?
Anyway, I can't tell you unless I know more options. Power anything? Cruise control? Sunroof?
It is NOT a GSL.
I'm confused on why your mechanic would need to know the model. . . .

there is no power anything. i dont know about cruise control because so many things from the inside are missing. it has a sunroof but to open it you have to turn a dial. if you look straight up at the sunroof you cant see through it (cloth).
It's a GS, but that makes no difference. When ordering parts they will ask if it is a 12a or 13b and if it has drum or disc brakes. That's all you/he really need to know.
this is about when your faith in your mechanic should be waning, and you should buy a haynes manual (or an OEM service manual if you got the cash...)
soon you'll be doing alignments with large, straight 2x4's and a good measuring tape
