driveshaft flanges??

driveshaft flanges??

Are driveshaft flanges interchangeable ? Switching 3rd member but flanges different.

You can swap the flange from one to the next , or you should be able to swap the driveshaft along with the diff

Need to swap the flanges. Using a 84 manual think the other might be from an auto? Larger bolt pattern. Don't have the driveshaft to it. Flanges interchange?

yes , save your self a mess and order a new seal from mazdatrix or somthing . if not that 20 yr old seal will probably leak

if your changing the 3rd member..remember that the
axle splines are different size's.depending on the rearend housing you have,,' ie' disks/drums you may
want to grab the axles too match the 3rd member.
i know there are different spline sizes, i don't know
the years,,or is it models 'ie' GS,GSL,,etc

Only thing I lack is the other driveshaft. So as long as the flanges are interchngeable I should be all right.??
