Question Driveshaft

I have a 1980 RX7 that vibrates likes crazy. I'm thinking it's the driveshaft. Can I just replace the U-joints and call it good, or should I replace the driveshaft and U-joints?

I see that Mazdatrix has an OEM driveshaft for $400+. They also have an aftermarket driveshaft for 200+. If I buy one, which one should I buy?

Thanks

Yes, you have servicable U-Joints.

Sorry to bug you, but I can't find your original response to my message. If you have the time, would you mind replying with your orignal answer? I hope so. I'm really curious what you had to say.

Thanks a ton!

Depends on what you are using the car for. I race mine and when I called Mazdartrix and asked about drive shafts they recomended the new shaft from Mazda - not the rebuild. So I did and it is better that any of the other shafts I have had in the car.

Another vibration source is a worn transmission tail shaft bushing.
