Dowel pins or bolts???
I have the tranny and flywheel out of the car.............can i tighten the bolts holding the motor together? is that a good idea?........torque specs?

why would you wanna tighten the bolts on the motor? pull it apart, port, and rebuild it if you are really that bored. tightening the engine wont help much unless it has somehow gone out of stock torque specs (about 90ftlbs i think?).

Hmmmmm I have about 40k in my rebuild......so i dont think i want another one(YET) .......Just a question sorry...................90? i remember reading somewhere ,it was about 28 or so? Just another question.......I'm a NOOB!

Yes, they are suppose to be 23-27 ft-lbs. I wouldn't worry about them. They were probably torqued just fine to start with.
