I saw my Dad break flywheel teeth with one of those and an impact wrench...

I just use a spare engine crossbrace/front mount thingy. You know, the piece that bolts to the front cover with 4 bolts and then goes to both motor mounts? Just take a bolt for the clutch and use that to hold the mount to the flywheel, and then use a bolt thats supposed to hold the tranny to hold it to the block, then you can impact all you want .

EDIT: ****, didnt see that you wanted one to use on ALL cars, my bad, sorry.

no problem. atleast you tryed. yea im not intending to use it with an impact gun. i just need to hold it in place wile i take off the bolts for the counter weight. and i would like to have it for when i do the flywheel swap on my friends 240. and who knows when i might need it again for another car.

I used a piece of flat stock about 3ft longx1 flat x1/4 inch thick, measured and drilled holes that ran across the flywheel, bolted it up and let the long end rotate up to the underside of the car. Used an impact to get it off and a huge torgue wrench to put it on. Works great...
