door panels

Anyone found a good source for factory replacement inside door panels. Like my old 83, the 85's vinyl is cracking just below the windows. Local interior repair guy says he can't fix it.

Well, this may not be the most cost saving route, but you might have a local (good) upholstery shop simply recover the door panels.

Mine in my 79 were spit and junky when I bought the car, so I took them to a good shop here, and 200 bux later had some very nice looking door panels that matched my newly redone stock seats...

I'll see if I can post a pic of the interior if you want to see how it came out...

I've seen good used ones regularly on E-bay.

I tried the only local upholstery shop, and he won't touch it (Live in Wausau, WI, where there's only one shop and zero Mazda dealers). The vinyl strip along the top four inches or so is not a separate piece - it's all one - and he didn't think he could do it and make it look right.
As for junkyards, if you want a part for a Ford F-150 or a Grand Am, Wausau's yards can help. As for the Rex or my Isuzu Rodeo or my wife's Subaru Legacy, they laugh at us.
I've kept my eyes open on Ebay and haven't seen any in at least a month. I'd pay $200 if I could find a place in Wisconsin
