Another Compatibility thread... My Driver side door has a pretty bad patch of rust on it, and it will probably be easier to replace then repair. I have found a pair of FB doors in my province and from what I can find searching is that they will fit. But what I can't figure out is if the indentation in the door(character line?) is the same or if it will look weird on my SA(1980)

I know the plastic trim is different, but is the actual metal itself different?

The doors are both the same the molding is different.

 

Yea, I have a FB door on my SA, interchanges perfectly.

 

I understood that there are some small differences on the inside of the door?

 

the doors themselves will interchange perfectly with no modification. the differences are in the 81-85 models with power windows. if you have a later door with power window, you will have to remove the guts and swap over a manual regulator.
