There are at least four FBs on my block alone (granted, three of them are owned by one person, but still). I specifically know of five more and an SA in my town, as well as a ton of FCs and two FDs. And three REPUs, an RX-4, and a Cosmo. And I waved at an RX-8 with a Rotary Extreme sticker the other day, and he waved back.
Yeah, the northwest seems to have a fairly high rotary concentration.
EDIT: Actually, four REPUs.

Unfortunately, they wouldn't understand the sticker. Most 8 owners are older and it's often thier 1st rotary, that's why they ignore us.
What I'm finding odd is the age groups that buy the different generations. The 1st gens owners tend to be really young, or older, the 2nd genners fall in between, but are still on the younger side, ex-ricers, the 3rd genners also tend to be young/monied or have the mid-life thing is going on. 8 owners are almost all past 40 and many are females who's hubbys bought the car for them and they have no clue. My GP is a perfect example of the latter.

I live in a small town and there is only one other FB that I've seen. If I wanted to go and admire another FB, all I got to do is drive by the guys house and check it out. It's been sitting in the same place for over a year.

I baught my RX-7 new in June of 1979. I still drive it around today. I still get such a thrill out of seeing another one. That doesn't happen much though. There just doesn't seem to be many of my year around. I love taking it out on winding back roads around Orlando. Most often I don't have the radio on, I'm just listening to the engine hum. Its great!

I heard a different engine note behind me the other day, combined with some low-hung driving lights that were vibrating a lot and either aimed wrong or maybe it was just the angle. Looked like either a miata ricer with a couple of 7" PIAA's in the bumper or an older 7. I slowed a little to see, and this black SA cruises by. Sounded good, looked semi-rough. I spied a couple of gauges on the A-pillar, I think, though, so I'll forgive the guy the rough body if he's fitted a turbo in there or something. ![Big Grin](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I was in my truck at the time, as my 7 is at home a good bit these days, body panels off and being sanded and banged out, so I didn't honk and wave.
Always cool to see another first-gen on the road.
